Instagram’s Threads application launched earlier last month. Which set the record of gaining 100 million followers in just a span of five days beating ChatGPT’s record. But it looks like all is not well with Instagram Threads at it Lose half of its active users in just a month.

As per the news published in Business Insider Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg told his office staff that almost half of the users that signed in for the Threads platform stopped coming back to the platform.

After the launch of Threads, it created a sensation among Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter users and become the first application to acquire a whopping 100 million users in just 5 days surpassing the record of ChatGPT.

Threads are text-based microblogging social platforms. Some users think that Threads is just a replacement for Twitter and is a competitor to it, even Elon Musk in his tweet state that Meta’s Threads platform is nothing but a copy of tweeter.

There are several reasons that help to gain a huge number of users to threads such as Mark and Instagram’s reputation, the Unavailability of text-based feature in Instagram, easy sign-up from an Instagram account in a few clicks, current ruckus going on in Twitter lately, Easy to use interface of Threads.

But the issue is why in the world do users stop coming back to the Threads platform? Threads team must evaluate the reasons for this downfall to stay in competition.

Because Threads garnered a huge response initially, the expectation was high from Threads to become a big bang hit but it looks like users are not that much satisfied with Meta’s Threads Platform.

Threads is new and its time is yet to come. Also, it is lacking many features such as Trending topics, Hashtags, Photo and Video sharing features, and many more like its competitor.

He further added that” We are working on adding more features to this platform to make it more user friendly and also working on other ways to hook the users by sending them frequent notifications so that they will keep returning to the platform.”

Mark Zuckerberg has experience of creating business out of nothing hence it’s not the first time him dealing with such problems. He might have prepared the road map for Threads already.

Ajay Banga aka Ajaypal Singh Banga an Indian-American elected as President of the World Bank by the board of trustees after rounds of interviews over four hours. Banga acquires the maximum share of votes from board members. He will assume his duties as a new president from 02 May 2023 by replacing the current president David Malpass.


Malpass has to step down from his position as World Bank President after he received heavy criticism for his stance on Climate Change. Climate activists from all over the world criticized him and demanded his resignation from his current position.


He will continue to lead the world bank for the next five years and work toward abolishing poverty and climate change.


Mr. Banga was nominated by the United States government. He was directly associated with the US government in the Biden administration where he was working as Chairman for Public Private Partnership for Central America with vice president Kamal Harris. Geoffrey Everest Hinton is a British Canadian 75 years old Cognitive Psychologist and Computer scientist who has expertise in AI technology. He is Best Known for his work in Artificial Neural Networks.
Geoffrey Hinton is famously called as Godfather of Artificial Intelligence because of his notable work in the field of artificial intelligence. He worked for Google for a long period of time and played a significant role in developing the AI chatbot for Google.
Geoffrey left Google officially in May 2023 in view to talking more openly about the possible risks and dangers of AI technology. He previously informed Google about the possible future risks but when all other companies started incorporating Chabot he thought it is time to speak about it. So he resigned from Google and spoke about the dangers that AI might create in the future.
Geoffrey stated that” I do not resign from Google to criticize Google’s take on artificial intelligence rather google acted responsibly while using AI. He resigned so that Google’s image should not get maligned and to be vocal about the negative outcome of AI technology. He further stated in an interview given to one of the news channels that super-intelligent machines can overpower humans.”

Hinton received the prestigious Turin Award for his work in 2018. Now After his resignation, he has become the voice of all the misuse and dangers that AI technology will create in the future by not keeping taps on it.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) previously also known as European Economic Forum (EEF) is a non-government and lobbying organization has its headquarters located in Davos, Cologny, Canton of Geneva, Switzerland.

The yearly meeting at Davos hosted by World Economic Forum is a big event for all influential people, corporates, and politicians as well as paparazzi all around the world as it is one of the biggest events in the business world. Al-Nasser Football Club (FC) from Saudi Arabia confirmed that ace soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo will be joining their club with effect from 3rd January 2022. Al-Nassr posted the news of unveiling Cristino Ronaldo joining as an Al-Nassr player on their official Twitter handle.

Since Ronaldo left the Manchester United club amidst FIFA World Cup 2022 with mutual agreement, Speculation has been raised that which club he will be joining next. All fans and people all around the world were shocked to hear the news of Ronaldo’s sudden departure from the Manchester United club.

No doubt Ronaldo is a G.O.A.T. player and the club will surely get benefitted from his presence. The total sum payable to Ronaldo is still not known. As per The Guardian, it is around 200 million Euros per year.

United States Government heading toward banning the Chinese short video maker app TikTok. The House of Representatives asked all the staff to remove Tiktok as they suspect that managing their data from China can increase the risk related to securities.

Catherine Szpindor the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the House of Representatives warned the officials of the House that TikTok won’t be working on the devices issued house to the officials working for the house.

 As per the “Cyber Advisory” issued by House, no staff and representative can download and use Tiktok on the phone or other device issued by House. As they suspect that Bytedance stores the data in china which may be used to manipulate the Government.

As mentioned in the advisory TikTok is able to collect personally identifiable data and data related to your devices such as Location, Device Mapping, Calendar, Contacts, Images, and Device Storage. It can also access your Device serial number, SIM card serial number, WiFi network name, MAC address, phone number, and the list goes on. Which can be used to snoop on important people.   

While Bytedance denied the claim and said they don’t store data from U.S. users in China instead they store it in America and Singapore.

This decision came before TikTok got banned all over the U.S.  The bill was passed by congress last week to ban the use of TikTok all over the United States. It will come into effect when president Joe Biden approves it.

TikTok is already banned in some other countries like India, for reasons similar to the what U.S. House said about it.

The short video-making app TikTok was a huge hit among youngsters may be because of its flexibility to help user to use different features and services to create a fun short video that includes music and filters.

Skyroot Aerospace Launched India’s first ever private Rocket successfully. That cost much lesser than those rockets made by private companies around the world.

The Skyroot Aerospace founders got applause from several people including Prime Minister and President. Now they are working on their next launch VIKRAM-1 soon. VIKRAM-1 will have higher targets than the older counterpart.

The founder of Skyroot Aerospace said they are working on developing reusable Rockets on the ground the SpaceX to cut the cost of launch. Their goal is to make satellite launches in space more affordable.

Another remarkable Aerospace Tech Startup is Agnikul Cosmos. Agnikul Was founded by ex-IITans Srinath Ravichandran and Moin SPM after getting seed funding of 3 cr. INR.

Agnikul developed the first Privately operated Launch Pad and Mission Control Centre with the help of ISRO and the Indian Government in Sriharikota at Satish Dhavan Space Center this year.

Agnikul Also working on the development of its own Rockets that will be able to launch Satellites of around 100kg into the Lower Earth Orbit. For example, Agnibaan. Agnibaan is their most ambitious project.

Agnibaan is a two stage launch vehicle with a total payload carrying capacity of 14000kg which will shoot the satellites in the lower orbit. It will be using a 3D printed Rocket plus engine as a whole as Agnikul has a patent and license to develop a 3D printed single piece engine.

Before working on Agniban they test fired single stage semi-cryogenic engine Rocket named Agnilet from Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launch Station (TERLS) At Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in 2021.

There are several other Indian Aerospace startups in the primary stage of development such as Bellatrix Aerospace, Pixxel, and Dhruva Space.

Argentina’s team was in attack mode from the start of the game. Messy shot the first goal in the penalty in the 23rd minute. The second goal is done by Angel Di Maria in the 36th minute of the game and the third by Messi in extra time in the 108th minute.

While France’s team was found playing less aggressively from the start of the game. France’s team took 10 shots to score 3 goals all by Kylian Mbappe in the 80th,81st, and 118th minutes of the game where the Argentinian team took 20 shots.

Instead of taking an extra 30 minutes, the score remains equal and it leads to a penalty shootout.

In the penalty shootout, Argentina’s team succeeded in putting the ball in the goalpost in all four chances while France’s team succeeded twice. And lose the game to Argentina by the score of 4-2.

This was a huge treat for Argentina’s fans whereas riots erupted in France after the team lost the match.

Mbappe is awarded Golden Boot for scoring 8 goals in the tournament including a hat trick in the finals. After the tragic defeat of Portugal’s National Football Team with Morocco, Portugal’s dream of winning the FIFA world cup 2022 comes to an end. Morocco Won against Portugal with a 1-0 score.

But what is more tragic than this is this could be the last appearance of Cristiano Ronaldo in the World Cup. And his dream of winning the highest cup in football for his home country may never come true if he doesn’t appear in the next world cup.

After being benched by the Portugal team’s coach Fernando Santos in the quarter-finals against Morocco Ronaldo’s appearance ended in the FIFA World Cup 2022. “I don’t regret my decision,” said Santos.

This was the fifth time Ronaldo played in a World Cup tournament for his home country in 16 years of his career. He scored 8 goals in 22 World Cups.

After his exit from the 2022 World Cup Ronaldo can’t hold his tears and posted a heartfelt note on his Instagram account for his country, his fans around the world, and well wishers.  

He stated that “Winning the world cup for Portugal was the biggest and most ambitious dream of my career. Fortunately, I won many titles of international dimensions, including Portugal, but putting our country’s name on the highest foot in the world was my biggest dream.”

He further added that He fought hard for this dream and give his all to achieve it. Sadly, the dream has ended. Much has been said but his dedication to Portugal has never changed for a moment.

He also thanked his home country, his fans, and Qatar.

His post suggests that he might not play until the next world cup and this is his last world cup for Portugal. Though he does not succeed in achieving that highest award for his country that doesn’t make him any less than next to the greatest player in the world.
